Winter Mindfulness Retreat (Thich Nhat Hanh tradition)

Song of the Morning Yoga Retreat Center, Vanderbilt MI
Weds, Feb 13 to Sun, Feb 17, 2019
Details follow weekly updates. A snow-tired SUV carpool is going from GR for just the weekend; contact erickorsedal@gmail.com to coordinate.

Winter up north is a beautiful time of quiet and purity that can be enjoyed and appreciated. It is a wonderful time for meditation and renewal along the pristine Pigeon River deep in the woods north of Gaylord. Please join us if you can for some days of mindfulness practice in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. Come just for the weekend or for all five days. We will enjoy sitting and walking meditation, noble silence, mindful eating, deep relaxation, dharma sharing discussions, a recitation of the Five Mindfulness Trainings and other practices with ample time for personal rejuvenation. The cost is around fifty dollars per night for a bed in the dormitory dome including delicious vegetarian meals. Song of the Morning now offers special reduced rates for full time students and those experiencing financial hardship. Some private rooms and deluxe suites are available at their regular rates. Please see their website for more information: http://www.songofthemorning.org/accomodations To register and reserve accommodation please contact the Office at Song of the Morning, office@songofthemorning.org, 989-983-4107.

  1. Good morning Eric, I would like to get some information regarding Jack Lawlor’s visit. After revisiting the precepts I feel I am ready to make my (best effort) commitment to them and would like to do so at the Day of Mindfulness with Jack Lawlor. Should I write to him, email, what do I ask? Thanks, Ruth
